Ballet Physique®, our signature class, is a high-intensity barre workout that blends strength training with ballet-inspired movement and incredible musicality. Designed using the principles of barre technique (fatiguing each muscle through small, targeted movements), this class will effectively produce an exquisitely sculpted and lean body. Prepare to chisel your arms, shape your thighs, lift your bottom, and flatten your abs from a variety of positions using a mix of evolving, innovative choreography. No two classes are ever completely alike! To enhance accessibility, each instructor is skilled in providing safe modifications to help you design the perfect workout for your level.
Because our lives demand that we have a strong core, this is the perfect workout for beginners, barre enthusiasts, and Pilates devotees alike! Mat Physique combines the body sculpting system used in our Ballet Physique format with key concepts of mat Pilates. The goal is to target the body’s smaller, stabilizing muscle groups in order to create a figure that’s polished and balanced with a flat, strong midsection as its centerpiece. Similar to a traditional mat class, you can expect to work every segment of your abdominal, seat, and back muscles with an emphasis on alignment and breathing techniques. Tip: If you have joint issues, we highly recommend this format.
This hybrid workout will produce lean, sculpted, and lengthened muscles through an accelerated blend of strength training, cardiovascular movement, ballet postures, and guided stretches. During the first 40 minutes of class, you will receive a head-to-toe workout, following the guidelines of our signature Ballet Physique format (but at a faster pace). To conclude the hour, your instructor will dim the lights and lead into 20-minutes of deep, luxurious, uninterrupted stretching. It’s the perfect way to relieve stress, quiet the mind, and balance your muscular strength with flexibility and suppleness.
Ballet Physique 45
Barre Forty Five a brisk-paced, calorie intensive barre workout that only takes a slim 45 minutes out of your day. Think of it as an accelerated version of our signature Ballet Physique class—just with a more confident attitude! Expect the same thorough workout from head to toe, but with simpler choreography and a tighter focus on moderate to high resistance; here, you’ll get to play with all sorts of equipment including tubes, rings, sliders, and weights to build lean and strong muscles in the same time capacity as a 1 hour class. While Barre Forty Five is 100% low-impact, you can look forward to a significant calorie burn through the use of dynamic, multi-muscular movements.
Physique Sweat is a class designed to improve athletic performance and heart health through an intelligent blend of cardiovascular intervals and barre sculpting. Think of it as the best of the best of your favorite cardio classes we have had in the past, blended into the smartest, most effective combination. Here, you’ll experience dynamic, full body movements that will put your endurance to the test. While grace and style are hallmarks of The Ballet Physique, this class presents simpler exercises and focuses on executing them with precision and power. Additional benefits include increased speed, agility, and core control. Remember, you are an athlete every time you step up to the barre! (Suitable for all levels; modifications are offered for high impact exercises).
Seat Boost 45
Seat, rear, bum, derrière, tush, money maker. No matter how you describe it, we all want the same thing—to sculpt it, lift it, and rock it. Our instructors are excited to dedicate this workout to your body’s most visually appealing muscle group. Enjoy a combination of floor work and standing work designed to pinpoint your glutes, hamstrings, and their surrounding muscles like lower back and waistline. You’ll get to pulse and squeeze through many of the ultra-targeted exercises in an ode to traditional barre training. However, this class will also introduce a variety of larger movements to develop your seat strength quickly and efficiently.
Physique Stretch, a movement-based stretching class, is designed to increase muscular flexibility, promote joint resiliency, and increase the body’s overall health and longevity. You’ll be guided through mixed sequences of dynamic and active stretches, which will heighten your brain function and mind-body connectivity. The second half of class—performed at a slower pace—will focus on introducing accessible, stationary stretches performed on the mat and using a variety of props. Our goal is to help you break free of pain and build a body that WORKS for a lifetime.
Mat Boost 45
Mat Boost is an accelerated class that expertly fuses the benefits of barre with the perks of mat Pilates. Prepare to target your core stabilizing muscle groups—not just the abs, but also the spine and seat—in order to create a body that’s polished, balanced, and strong. Because the class is only 45-minutes, it moves at a lightning pace, using higher resistance tools to generate higher efficiency results! At the same time, you can look forward to a practical emphasis on posture, alignment, breathing, and lengthening.
This new class will deliver a balanced strength and surrender experience through a blend of yoga-based resistance in the body and gentle stretches to help quiet the mind. The first half of class will provide dynamic yoga flows that challenge the body’s strength in both movement and stillness, cultivating lean and powerful muscles. The instructor will then transition from a space of high activity to a slower-paced stretch and ultimately to a space of quiet and calm meditation, observation, and surrender, resulting in a harmonious balance of body and mind.
